Hey Tuner videographers, we are
looking for original HD footage to pair here. |
Quick note...
With the very recent shakeup, until we put our nerd
hats on ( and use a better publishing platform than this mobile phone in the
back of the van), there is limited access to free music and info
listen here
Just a quick note to our fans (that would be the
roughly 3 people not related to any of us) about the new band name and some
other tricky issues we’ve been asked about.
First the ownership of the old band name along with
some other intellectual property (website, email, twitter handles, etc.) is
in limbo right now. Though none
of our old songs, performances, or sound recordings were a part of the
broken deal (thanks to our lawyer, thought we’d never say that).
We did sign with a label.
We did cash our modest checks (Matt got his car fixed and paid for
classes, Inchicho took some friends to see Brad Paisley from the
second row. Chris bought his mom some silk scarves and a sweater, teh, really.) .
And that is where this part of the story begins.
We are honoring a mutual gag consent until some sick
(and or funny) things get straightened out, but most of you will be able to
connect the dots and insert the correct names and relationships.
But that will be your doing, not ours.
Ok so…my PA has a very attractive mom, Audrey (not her
real name), and a 18 year old sister.
Our label contact Pupa (should be his real name), a close relative of a
higher up at the label, initiated a relationship with Audrey.
They “dated” a few times before we signed our deal.
As these things go, the record deal started to look
crappy for us. Then an
interesting series of events set us on a new course.
Label contact, Pupa, somehow has a picture of PA’s
sister discovered by his wife Jules (not her real name, but a truly lovely
and kind woman). Pupa plays it
off “duh...uh the picture...she is prospective talent…”.
Pupa is caught in the wee hours, by Audrey, enjoying
himself some underpants, PA's sister's underpants.
Sister is not home. Pupa
says “Sorry Audrey, I thought they were yours.” Ok...
At a meet and greet, Audrey and Jules strike up a
conversation. Jules is oblivious
to Audrey’s relations with Pupa.
Audrey knows exactly who Jules is.
Jules says she is not happy that Pupa is now trying to engage young
female teen talent for the label, her assumption based on the picture she
found of PA’s sister. Audrey
knows that Pupa is only tasked by the label to attend to guitar shredders,
and puts together that her 18 year old’s picture is missing from her
living room.
In a separate conversation that same night with Jules,
Shyko candidly explains his concern that Pupa has lost interest in our
project. Jules reassures him of
Pupa’s interest, and mentions that Pupa is in constant contact with my
PA…hours on the phone. PA reports "I never ever talk to Pupa.
I'd rather watch every cat video on YouTube. Pupa is a
jank."
Other confusing uncomfortable encounters follow,
leading up to Pupa’s fortunately timed involuntary lustful gleam and PA’s
sister in a pair of $400 shoes.
The fracturing and sordid details of this last turn of events will likely
never see print, certainly not from our hands.
We are all sickened, sad, and sorry, but then also a bit amused.
One way or another, we are walking away from this deal
and from Pupa.
So, as Robert Frost said at the end of
Out, Out (link,
and, if you have a moment, a better poem
here)
“…-- and that ended it.
No more to build on there. And they, since they
Were not the one dead, turned to their affairs.”
Since these things take time, and we don’t
have it, Matt, Shyko, Cory, and I are moving on as Fondling.
Please spread the word.
Thanks for your support.
